Thank you for 3 years on YouTube! I answer you comment questions and I hope you got to know me a little better! The video is kinda long.. so think of it as story time! Hey! Hey! Wake up!
My 100th video! Wooo! Whoa, I never thought I would make 1 video.. but I’ve managed to make it to 100! So, I thought to celebrate I would.. do.. half my makeup? lol. If you’ve seen the Korean variety show Star King then you have seen the beauty segment where girls come out fully glam and then have to take off half of their makeup. There’s more to it.. but I won’t get into all that. You can watch me look like a fool.. enjoy! =P
My skincare routine has been at a minimum since I’ve been using Adapalene cream for my acne. When I was a teenager I was prescribed Differin Gel. I think Adapalene is the same thing just that I got the generic brand and it was WAY cheaper then if I got Differin. My dermatologist recommended I use Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser. I use that cleanser in the morning and at night. After that, I apply The Body Shop’s Seaweed Mattifying Day Cream which has been working pretty well and it has some spf in it for daily use. I don’t apply anything else otherwise my face turns into an oily mess. Before I was using my Clinique oil free gel moisturizer which I love but for some reason this time it just brought out my oil and after a couple of hours you could fry an egg on my face so I had to stop using it. Every other day I use a facial brush with the cleanser at night. I just recently started using that brush regularly and I noticed that my skin feels a lot smoother and looks a lot less dull. Of course it’s nothing compared to the Clarisonic which I don’t own. But everyone seems to rave about it.
So back to my acne.. I’ve been using my acne cream for about 3 months now and it was a slow process. My skin didn’t react to it well in the beginning. The first week I only applied it twice a week and then started increasing it every week. Even now I still don’t put it on everyday. I apply it 5-6 times a week at night. But it has improved a lot.. not 100% but it’s getting there. I had acne scars and hyperpigmentation from when I was younger and with this breakout I got even more. It’s all good though. That’s where full coverage foundation and concealer come in handy. Ha!
I’ve been obsessed with skincare a lot more now that my age is catching up to me (I wish I did when I was younger.. ). I’ve been watching/reading/looking up reviews on products and I have some I’ve been eyeing. Of course they are not cheap.. but Christmas is coming up.. hahaha.
First is Exuviance SkinRise Bionic Tonic
I was at Ulta last week and was trying to find a new foundation to try. The girl there helped match a couple foundations and tested it on my face. Afterwards when I was wiping the makeup off with a wipe she handed me the Exuviance skinrise tonic. Inside the jar are presoaked pads. I put that all over my face and it felt amazing! She told me that she swears by this. It’s alcohol free and a little tip she recommended was to cut the pads in half or even thirds to make it last longer. I told her I was gonna add this to my wish list. lol.
I think I remember my mother or grandmother using this when I was younger. Back then I didn’t really pay attention but I wish I did. This is really popular and a big bite in the wallet.
I’m still looking for the perfect serum. Before I was using Boots No7 serum and I felt like it didn’t do anything. I also tried an Olay serum. These are also drugstore brands. Serums are pricey to begin with so I thought I would start out by trying cheaper ones but I think I should invest in a good quality serum now.
That’s my list for now. Still adding on more. Got to save as much money as I can otherwise I’ll be broke sleeping outside.. but at least I’ll have good skin? lol.
Do you have any skincare products you love or want to try? Let me know! =]
i just made a twitter! ..and im soo lost. lol.
