The Pore Brush. This small facial pore brush is the #1 selling pore brush in Korea. After I posted this review on YouTube, someone commented that this is very popular in Korea and was on a show called Get It Beauty. I got the chance to try this brush and I got to say.. I understand why it is so popular! I love this thing. It is now a stable in my skincare regimen.

On the website it says:

  • 310,000 soft bristles with the size thinner than the hair, cleanses and exfoliates dead skin cells thoroughly.
  • Provides clean and silky smooth skin.
  • Densely aligned bristles for stable pressure for minimal skin irritation yet provides deep cleansing.
  • Comfortable hand grip.

  • Brush cleansing will revive your tired skin to glow, removing dirt, make-up, and even dead skin cells.
  • 310,000 soft bristles are densely aligned on the brush head for stable pressure for minimal irritation.
  • Brush cleansing will remove all dirt and dead skin cells and boost your circulation to increase blood flow to the cells to restore skin’s vitality.

It is VERY soft and it feels so good on my skin. It’s very gentle so it’s perfect for people who have sensitive skin as well. I compared this to my Sephora facial brush that I had been using and the pore brush beats it by far. Here’s a before and after:

I have very oily skin on my t-zone area.. especially my nose. I also have a bit of acne on my nose as well. But you can see from the pic above how well the Pore Brush cleaned my pores. It also gave it a little glow! When I was using my Sephora brush, it just always left my face red even though I gently used it on my face.  I explain it a bit more in the video below.

If you get a chance to try this, let me know how well it works for you! =]

The Pore Brush sells for $19.95

My skincare routine has been at a minimum since I’ve been using Adapalene cream for my acne. When I was a teenager I was prescribed Differin Gel. I think Adapalene is the same thing just that I got the generic brand and it was WAY cheaper then if I got Differin. My dermatologist recommended I use Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser. I use that cleanser in the morning and at night. After that, I apply The Body Shop’s Seaweed Mattifying Day Cream which has been working pretty well and it has some spf in it for daily use. I don’t apply anything else otherwise my face turns into an oily mess. Before I was using my Clinique oil free gel moisturizer which I love but for some reason this time it just brought out my oil and after a couple of hours you could fry an egg on my face so I had to stop using it. Every other day I use a facial brush with the cleanser at night. I just recently started using that brush regularly and I noticed that my skin feels a lot smoother and looks a lot less dull. Of course it’s nothing compared to the Clarisonic which I don’t own. But everyone seems to rave about it.

So back to my acne.. I’ve been using my acne cream for about 3 months now and it was a slow process. My skin didn’t react to it well in the beginning. The first week I only applied it twice a week and then started increasing it every week. Even now I still don’t put it on everyday. I apply it 5-6 times a week at night. But it has improved a lot.. not 100% but it’s getting there. I had acne scars and hyperpigmentation from when I was younger and with this breakout I got even more. It’s all good though. That’s where full coverage foundation and concealer come in handy. Ha!

I’ve been obsessed with skincare a lot more now that my age is catching up to me (I wish I did when I was younger.. ). I’ve been watching/reading/looking up reviews on products and I have some I’ve been eyeing. Of course they are not cheap.. but Christmas is coming up.. hahaha.

First is Exuviance SkinRise Bionic Tonic

I was at Ulta last week and was trying to find a new foundation to try. The girl there helped match a couple foundations and tested it on my face. Afterwards when I was wiping the makeup off with a wipe she handed me the Exuviance skinrise tonic. Inside the jar are presoaked pads. I put that all over my face and it felt amazing! She told me that she swears by this. It’s alcohol free and a little tip she recommended was to cut the pads in half or even thirds to make it last longer. I told her I was gonna add this to my wish list. lol.

SK-II Facial Treatment Essence

I think I remember my mother or grandmother using this when I was younger. Back then I didn’t really pay attention but I wish I did. This is really popular and a big bite in the wallet.

Caudalie Vinosource S.O.S Thristy Quenching Serum

I’m still looking for the perfect serum. Before I was using Boots No7 serum and I felt like it didn’t do anything. I also tried an Olay serum. These are also drugstore brands. Serums are pricey to begin with so I thought I would start out by trying cheaper ones but I think I should invest in a good quality serum now.

That’s my list for now. Still adding on more. Got to save as much money as I can otherwise I’ll be broke sleeping outside.. but at least I’ll have good skin? lol.
